ACDI/VOCA was awarded the USIAD-funded PL 480 Title II Development food Assistance program called
Resiliency through wealth, Agriculture and Nutrition in Karamoja (RWANU) being implemented in Karamoja, Uganda, with sub recipients concern worldwide and welthungerHilfe(WHH).
ACDI/VOCA is soliciting proposals from organizations capable of providing 120 oxen (drought animal) to be distributed to 60 farmer training groups in Karamoja. The farmer training groups are to undertake block farming. The aim is to move farmers from demonstration farms to taking on increased acreage by opening up vast land. This will enable increased food production in Karamoja. This distribution of oxen to farmers is planned for march 2014.

Please note that this is a modification to the advert placed in the New vision of 30th January 2014 extending the proposals submission deadline for supply of oxen ONLY. The deadline for proposal submission for the supply of ox-ploughs still stands at 7th march 2014
