This was revealed by Dr. Chris Baryomunsi, the state Minister of Health while receiving new structures renovated by government at Hoima Regional Referral Hospital.
The ministry of Health last year contracted Japanese International Cooperation Agency-JICA to rehabilitate and re-equip nine hospitals in the country.
The renovation works started in October 2014 last year. Works at seven hospitals are complete.

The structures include a modern outpatient department, maternity ward, operating theater, and well equipped intensive care unit.
Dr. Baryomunsi says government is aimed at delivering a minimum healthcare package with a focus on maternal health, newborn care and family planning.

Meanwhile, Dr. Asuman Lukwago, the Ministry of Health permanent secretary cautioned all the health workers against stealing hospital properties at the newly constructed structures.
